Verdict

Our Verdict on the B.S.

This is a completion program, so it only makes sense if you already have college credit or an associate degree. If you do, Full Sail gives you a computer science bachelor's with an artificial intelligence concentration, monthly class starts and a scholarship of up to $30,000 for qualified online students.

The big catch is price. Full Sail prints no per-credit rate, so you can't compare cost until you run its net price calculator.

Full Sail University is a private for-profit school in Winter Park, Florida, accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). This program is a Computer Science Bachelor of Science Completion program with an artificial intelligence concentration, delivered online.

The word "completion" matters. The school says the program is best for students with prior college credit or an associate degree. You aren't starting from a blank slate, and you shouldn't expect a first-year experience built for new high school graduates. Full Sail also notes that you complete a Computer Science Associate of Science on the way to the bachelor's, which gives you a stopping point if life interrupts.

Online

The Online Format

The school says classes begin monthly for most programs, which is far more frequent than the two or three start dates at many universities. For a working adult, that means a missed deadline costs you weeks, not a semester.

Ask whether classes meet live or run on your own schedule. How long the degree takes depends on how much credit you bring in, so ask for a written degree plan after your transcripts are evaluated, and ask what a typical student with your background finishes in.

Fit

Who Should Apply, and Who Should Not

Who It Fits

  • You have an associate degree or a pile of college credits and want a bachelor's with an AI focus instead of starting over.
  • You want to begin soon. Full Sail says classes begin monthly for most programs, so you aren't waiting for a fall start.
  • You'd like to earn an associate degree and a bachelor's through one path, since the program includes the Computer Science Associate of Science.

Who Should Skip It

  • You have no college credit. The program is built as a completion path, and the school points it at students who already have credit.
  • You need a published, comparable price before you apply. Full Sail shows tuition through a net price calculator, not a per-credit rate you can line up against other schools.
  • You'd rather not take a math assessment. One is required to enroll.

Curriculum

What You Will Study

The page names three courses worth knowing about: Deep Learning, Computer Vision and Human-AI Interaction. The last one explores human-computer interaction (HCI), the study of how people actually use and react to software. That's a useful addition, because AI products succeed or fail on whether people trust and understand them.

What the page doesn't give us is a credit total, a course-by-course plan or a list of concentrations. Because this is a concentration inside a computer science degree, expect the rest of your plan to look like a computer science bachelor's. Ask an advisor for the full course list before you apply, and ask which of your existing credits count toward it.

Courses the School Names

  • Deep Learning
  • Computer Vision
  • Human-AI Interaction

Standout Features

  • Fixed course order; no need to sign up for specific classes each semester
  • Momentum Scholarship for qualified online students, up to $30,000
  • Portfolio of software and AI projects (repositories, trained models, documentation) built across project-based courses
  • Project LaunchBox technology package with MSI laptop, 3-year warranty and Microsoft Office 365 included in tuition
  • Students also complete a Computer Science Associate of Science on the way to the bachelor's

Cost

Tuition and Fees

Full Sail doesn't print a per-credit rate or a total on the program page. Tuition is bundled and shown through a net price calculator, so we can't give you an estimated total, and we won't guess at one.

The one dollar figure the school does print is the Momentum Scholarship. Qualified online students can receive up to $30,000 with it. That's a ceiling, not a promise, so ask what qualifies you and what the award would actually be in your case. Then ask for the full cost in writing, including any fees and course materials, and compare it with the printed per-credit prices at public schools.

Military Benefits
Full Sail is an unlimited participant in the Yellow Ribbon program and accepts GI Bill benefits (Post-9/11, Montgomery), Department of Defense Tuition Assistance, Top-Up and Veteran Readiness and Employment; dependents and spouses may use Post-9/11 transfer, DEA and the Fry Scholarship.

Credentials

Accreditation and Where It Leads

Full Sail is institutionally accredited by the ACCSC, an accreditor of career schools and colleges. That's a legitimate accreditor, but it's a different one from the regional accreditors that cover most nonprofit and public universities. If you may transfer credits later or go on to graduate school, ask the receiving school whether it accepts ACCSC credits. Some don't, and it's far easier to ask now than after you've paid.

Our federal data shows the school's overall graduation rate is 44%, and for-profit status means you should read enrollment paperwork closely.

Trade-Offs

Drawbacks to Weigh

  • No published per-credit price or total, so you can't compare cost with other programs until you use the net price calculator.
  • No credit total, duration or class format on the program page, which makes planning harder.
  • A graduation rate of 44% in federal data for the school overall is something to ask about directly.
  • A completion program is a poor fit if you don't already have college credit.
